The airfield Antonov certified according to ICAO category 1.
State enterprise Antonov is interested in using the airfield in Gostomel to service the low-cost airlines.
About it reports a press-service of the airport.
“Pursuant to the order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, which was granted during a meeting with representatives of GP “Antonov” in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine formed a working group to prepare a business plan for use of the airfield Kiev-Antonov, SMT. Gostomel, for maintenance of low-cost airlines”, – stated in the message.
Recall, the airfield Antonov certified according to ICAO category 1. It can receive and send aircraft around the clock throughout the year. Currently, the airport is used as a port for cargo aircraft and conduct flight tests.
The company believes that the development of airport infrastructure towards passenger service will be useful not only for the airport but for the region as a whole. As one of the important factors will be the creation of new jobs.
