In Antarctica discovered the preserved 106 year old fruit cake.
Scientists from New Zealand found a well-preserved fruitcake in an abandoned house on Cape Adare, which is located in the North-East region of Victoria Land in East Antarctica.
About it reports a press-service of Fund of the Antarctic heritage New Zealand.
It is noted that the pie produced by the British confectionery company Huntley & Palmers, which at the time of detection turned 106 years old, lay on the shelf in a tin box and was wrapped in paper.
