The Federal Agency for the Affairs of nationalities (FADH), through which non-profit organizations of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) received 4.55 billion rubles of subsidies, told about the allocation of funds from the Federal budget. According FADH, in the selection process of NGOs in the field of spiritual-educational activities “assessment of their relationship with religious associations is not carried out”.

“In the period 2016-2019 years, the total number of received applications was 110, of which subsidies were provided to 97 nonprofit organizations,” added the Federal Agency.

For example, the total amount of subsidies FADH to ANO “Vladikavkaz spiritual and educational center” is 220,7 million rubles, to ANO “Architectural-construction center Bert” — 170 million rubles, ANO providing services in the field of preservation of monuments of historical and cultural heritage “the Nativity of the blessed virgin” — 157 million rubles.

In addition, using FADH government supports the Charity Fund for reconstruction of the Voskresensky new Jerusalem stauropegial monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Board of Trustees which included Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The Fund received from the Agency in recent years 254,9 million. In addition, 589 million rubles was allocated to the ANO for the creation of spiritual enlightenment centers “Balaam.” Recall that in the Valaam monastery occasionally visits the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
