The club from Mariupol next season again will play in the Ukrainian Premier League.
In 31-m round “Ilicevic” with a minimum score (0:1) on the road beat “Ternopil” and have guaranteed themselves at least second place in the First League of the season 2016-2017. For three rounds before the end of the season the team of Oleksandr Sevidov is eight points ahead of “Gum” that virtually guarantees Illichivets win in the First League.
Most likely, the elite of Ukrainian football “Illichivets” will return under a new guise. Fans of the club to vote on the official website of chose a new name – FC “Mariupol”.
“We have no financial problems. Of course, in this part we are not ready to fight Premier League teams. We need strengthening as well, and any team that play in the Premier League. I think our leaders will do everything that the team looked decent in the elite division,” commented a return to the Premier League, the main coach of “Illichivets” Alexander Sevidov.
Illichivets were relegated from the elite in the 2014-2015 season, finishing in 14th place in the standings. With the first attempt to return to the club from Mariupol failed – last season, the team in the First division in fourth place.
In addition to the “Gums” on the promotion claim only one club – “Veres” of Smooth, lagging behind rivals from Chernigov, on two points.
