Star Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed a new contract with “Manchester United”.
Ibrahimovic in the summer of 2016 signed with the “man UTD” the contract for 1+1, but a severe knee injury received in the match of 1/4 final of the Europa League against Anderlecht led to the separation of the two sides.
Now the English club officially announced that Ibrahimovic has signed a contract until the end of the season 2017-2018. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. The club Zlatan will play under 10-m number which became free after the withdrawal of Wayne Rooney to Everton.
Unknown at this time when Ibrahimovic can get back on the field. Doctors suggest that to play debut match in the season titled the Swede will be able not earlier than in 2018.
“We will calmly wait for his recovery. I have no doubt that he will play an important role in the second half of the season,” said head coach Jose Mourinho official website of “Manchester United”.
Ibrahimovic became the fourth rookie “Manchester United” – previously the Red devils signed forward Romelu Lukaku (Everton), midfielder Nemanja MATIC (Chelsea) and defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica).
Last season Zlatan Ibrahimovic in “Manchester United” in all the tournaments played 46 games, scoring 28 goals and giving 10 assists.
