Until 2022 the company will be an electric crossover.
Hyundai will introduce three brand new electric model over the next five years. About it reports a press-service of the South Korean automaker.
So, in the first half of next year, Hyundai will be an electric a modification of the compact crossover Kona presented this summer. Stock battery is novelty enough to travel without recharging up to 390 kilometres.
In 2021, the automaker will release a luxury electric car, which will be part of a premium line of Genesis. In addition, in the same year, the company will be “long-range” eco-car, the power reserve, which should exceed 500 kilometers.
Plus, Hyundai is going to develop a completely new car platform, designed exclusively for machines with fully electric propulsion systems. On this chassis it will be possible to build models of different sizes and power units of various capacities.
At this point in the line of Hyundai there is only one electric model, the “green” modification Ioniq. It is equipped with a set of lithium-ion polymer battery capacity of 27 kWh and an electric motor that develops 120 HP and 295 Nm of torque. The maximum speed of electric Hyundai Ioniq is 165 km/h and cruising range is 250 miles.
