Among the actors who have played James bond would be Hugh Jackman.
Recently in an interview with Variety, the actor admitted that he received an offer to play the role of the famous agent 007 to replace Pierce Brosnan, but he refused. According to Hugh, initially he didn’t like the script.
“My agent called me with the question if I wanted to play in James bond films. But the script I was not encouraged: it was too incredible and crazy. When I offered to make it more realistic, I was told that my job is just to sign a contract, and not to meddle with such edits”, – said Hugh.
In addition, at the time the actor was going to take part in the filming of the second part of the movie “X-Men”, so another reason for the refusal was the tight schedule: “We had to shoot “X-Men 2″, and I was afraid that the participation in two projects would occupy all my time, which will not remain on family and other matters”.
