Hotels of Kiev are advised not to raise prices during the “Eurovision”

Kyiv city administration has received complaints that booking of rooms lying on the Eurovision is too expensive.

Kyiv city state administration urged hoteliers not to raise prices for accommodation in hotels during the “Eurovision-2017”.

“Kiev was ready, ready now and will be ready to hold a competition at the highest level. We performed a financial guarantee for the allocation of a subvention of 200 million UAH. We have identified the necessary improvement works, and soon, if the weather allows, we will begin to implement them. The same applies to the repair of roads (and now the repair is 40 roads) and construction of embankment”, – said the Deputy head of the KCSA Oleksiy Reznikov.

The official said that there were complaints about unjustified raising of prices for accommodation in hotels during carrying out in Kiev of “Eurovision”, and the city held talks with the hoteliers, who promised to resolve the issue and allow the prices to economically justified.

Potential of Kyiv in terms of tourist accommodation in hotels is 19.5 thousand places, and within two weeks of the competition it is expected about 20 thousand tourists. About 2 thousand jobs are there in hotels in a suburban area.
