The state Duma may adopt a law on hot meals for students on February 19.
A day earlier, as said the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee on education and science Gennady Onishchenko, the document will pass its second reading.
MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. The profile state Duma Committee on education and science recommends to the house to consider a bill to free hot meals for elementary school students in second reading on 18 February, the third – on February 19, TASS reported first Deputy Chairman of the Committee Gennady Onishchenko.
“On Tuesday, February 18, we put [a bill] on the second reading, after the adoption of the second reading on third will go on 19-e”, – he said.
The state Duma Committee on education and science at a meeting on Thursday recommended the bill for adoption in the second reading, taking into account the amendments proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The amendment clarifies the law on education clause, according to which elementary students are provided at least once per day with a free hot meal, providing hot food and hot drink.
Funding will come from appropriations from the Federal, regional, local budgets and other sources to be responsible for the provision of hot meals will be the founder of the school. Establishes the possibility of granting to budgets of subjects of the Russian Federation of Federal budget subsidies to co-Finance the organization of hot meals on the conditions determined by the Cabinet. Measures to ensure conditions for the organization of free hot meals for elementary school students “should be implemented in stages from September 1, 2020 September 1, 2023.”
