The name of the Passport can use for a shortened version of the model Pilot.
The company Honda has registered in the patent and trademark office, the name “Passport”, which was previously used for a mid-sized SUV. It is assumed that this name may renew for a new two-row crossover.
At the moment, Honda is developing a mid-size SUV, which will be based shortened platform model Pilot. In contrast to “Pilot” the novelty will be offered only with five-seater salon. This car will be able to compete, for example, Nissan Murano, and Ford Edge.
Original Honda Passport was produced from 1992 to 2002 and during that time has changed two generations. The latest version of the model, representing a turned version of the Isuzu Rodeo, packaged with a 205-horsepower 3.2-liter V6 engine.
This is not the first message indicating that some automakers are going to revive for their new titles of the once popular SUV. So, Chevrolet is going to bring back the Blazer name, and the concern Ford, by 2020, will return to the market model Bronco.
