Among the 18 deaths related to the Takata airbags, 17 occurred in Honda cars.
Japanese automaker Honda Motor will pay $605 million to settle lawsuits in the US due to faulty airbags company Takata.
The money will be used to pay any costs that may have arisen from customers, due to the fact that they repaired their cars equipped with Takata airbags.
In addition, a portion of this amount will be used to Fund information programmes designed to accelerate the pace of recall of models with defective pillows, and replace dangerous elements.
The fact that Honda is the largest customer of Takata: among the 18 deaths related to the Takata airbags, 17 occurred in Honda cars. The manufacturer of airbags because of the debt of $9 billion has already been sued for bankruptcy in Tokyo district court.
