They can become the basis for Hollywood blockbusters.

Criminals burst into the Bank, firing machine guns and demanding to open the vault can be seen only in action movies. But actually daring robbery had taken place. Here is a list of the five most high-profile robberies, a worthy blockbuster.

1. The Theft Of The Mona Lisa.

The world famous painting housed in the Louvre, was once the center of a crazy scandal in 1911. Vincenzo Peruggia, the employee who was assigned to protect the Mona Lisa protective glass, hid in the closet in the Louvre before dark and just stole the picture. The hunt for a stolen painting lasted two years before Peruggia was arrested after he tried to sell the painting to art dealer in Italy.

2. The Robbery Of Lufthansa.

On the basis of this robbery was to shoot the film Goodfellas Director Martin Scorsese. A group of criminals robbed a freight depot Lufthansa airport named after John F. Kennedy.

3. Robbery Brent Cross shopping centre Shopping.

Robbery can be easily included in any gangster movie. Six of the criminals drove into Brent Cross shopping centre on three motorbikes and made their way to the jewelry store. Armed with baseball bats and axes, the criminals have destroyed the showcases and took jewelry for 2 million pounds, and then disappeared. Later, the motorcycle was found abandoned near a local Golf course, and the criminals have not been caught.

4. Robbery Dubai Mall Panther.

These jewelry thieves became known for his daring tactics, which worked very effectively. The gang consisted of former military, which was easily chased across the border before the police had time to get on their trail. The most famous robbery gang was a robbery at Wafi Mall in Dubai. The gang flew on two stolen Audi to the Mall and smashed the window of a jewelry store. All the robbery happened in less than a minute, and the criminals fled with the jewelry in the amount of 3.5 million dollars.

5. The great train robbery.

8 August 1963 train going to Glasgow, were intercepted mid-route by a group of criminals who used falsified light signal.
