Experts revealed that the iPhone can conduct the hidden shooting without the owner’s knowledge.
Engineer Google Felix Krause found a problem with privacy settings in iOS that allows apps on the iPhone conduct the hidden shooting. For this application, it is sufficient to get user permission to access the camera.
Permission to use camera app allows you to:
– take pictures and record video with the front and main cameras at any time when it is active;
– to upload this content virtually in real time;
– run the face detection for recognition of facial expressions.
All of this can happen without any notification from the smartphone.
“After you take and publish one picture or video via the app to social networks, you grant full access to the camera, and anytime when the application runs, the application can use the camera,” explains the engineer.
