Heavy snowfall in Poland: 300 thousand people were left without electricity

Heavy snowfall in Poland.

“Due to heavy precipitation in the form of wet snow in the country without electricity was about 292 thousand of consumers”,- said the Director of the Government centre for security, Marek Kubiak. He also added that renovations will be taking power.

As reported on Twitter by the Marek Kubiak, the largest number of consumers left without electricity falls on Masovian Voivodeship – 132 340 people. In the łódź Voivodeship, there is no light at 73 250 users, in the Undergrowth – 42-450, Warmian-Masurian – 26 700, Sventokshiske – 9 800, in the Silesian – 7 430.

According to the forecast of the Institute of meteorology and water management, on Friday in Poland in some places will be precipitation in form of snow and snow with rain. In the North-West of the country snow will switch to rain in southern Poland – the rain. The maximum temperature of from 0 to 3 degrees Celsius, on the coast 4 to 5 degrees, and in mountain areas in some places up to -1 C.

Institute of meteorology and water management announced a storm warning due to the difficult driving conditions for residents of the ten provinces: Podkarpackie, lesser Poland, Silesian, Opole, lower Silesian, łódź, Sventokshiske, Lublin and Mazovian.
