Head of Roscosmos: Ukraine can explore space without the help of Russia

Despite significant losses, the Ukrainian space without Russia is possible.

Ukraine is able to realize space projects without Russian components and materials.

“On common projects with Russia, of course, we had serious damage. We lost the Russian market for our manufactured products, lost by the Russian suppliers of finished products and components, and space industry of Ukraine was in a very serious situation. We need to do and import substitution, and markets for our finished products,” – said Radchenko.

At the same time, he noted that Ukrainian engineers and designers the issue is almost resolved. “We have the ability to exclude from construction of the projects which we have planned today, Russian equipment and materials. That is the Ukrainian space without Russia is possible,” – said the head of Roscosmos.

In his words, “space has become a huge business 270 billion per year”, and the sector shows a growth of about 10% per year.

“No other industry in the world, where would such a rapid growth and, of course, high profits,” – said Radchenko.
