Titled Ukrainian sabre fencer Olga Kharlan won the individual gold at the world Championships in Leipzig (Germany).
Your way to the world championship Harlan began with a win over compatriot Olga Zhovnir (15:7). In the 1/16 final, the native of Nikolaev understood with the representative of Poland Bogey Jovac (15:9).
In 1/8 finals of the Harlan met the double prize-winner of Championships of Europe Rossella Gregorio. With the score 12:12 Ukrainian made three shots in a row and was followed in the quarter-finals.
At the quarter-final stage Harlan without any problems stopped the Japanese Norika the Hamur (15:9), and in the semi-finals by a margin of five shots (15:10) was the Vice-world champion 2015 and multiple French champion Cecilia Berder.
For the world championship gold Harlan competed with sablistka from Tunisia Azza Besbes, which in the semi-finals took a feat, played with
