One of the largest exchanges in the world hriplovatym Binance has discovered a vulnerability in their system, but by this time the hackers managed to get out of it seven thousand bitcoins in a single transaction of more than $ 40 million, said in the exchange.
Exchange transactions, according to the report, was suspended for at least a week to check.
“The hackers managed to get access to a large number of custom API keys, 2FA codes and possibly other information. They used a variety of methods, including phishing, viruses and other attacks. At the moment we are still defined by all the possible ways that they used. It is also possible the presence of other affected accounts that have not yet been identified,” – said in the message exchange.
It is noted that the hackers stole about 2% of all bitcoin exchanges.
