Groysman explained why not all Ukrainians has increased the retirement

He explained why 3 million Ukrainian pensioners left without a copayment.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said that the pension system allows to increase the payment of 9 million Ukrainians.

“So today, the pension system allows to increase pension of 9 million Ukrainian pensioners, as about 3 million people retired in 2014-2016, and the settlements were quite different, the average wage was different,” he explained.

He stressed that basic salaries for the majority of Ukrainian pensioners, 90% was still very low.

“Imagine what it was 1190 hryvnia salary, which was calculated pension, and it was absolutely unfair. So now it is 3764 – wages. The second position was a minimum pension in the country is 949 hryvnias. In October we have this pension, so to speak, raise, and already the minimum pension in the country 1452 UAH. 9 million pensioners, more even, to get a rise in pensions, most of which is more than 200 UAH”, – said the Prime Minister.

Recall that the pension reform provides for increase in pensions for over 10 million Ukrainians, however, 900 thousand people payments have not been recalculated.
