According to him, the pension reform, the retirement age will not be raised.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the “hour of questions to the government” may 19, presented the project of pension reform.
According to the head of the government, the minimum pension 3 or 5 thousand UAH in Ukraine is impossible.
“I also want the minimum pension in the country was 3 thousand or 5 thousand UAH, but then will grow the deficit of the Pension Fund. If it’s 140 billion, multiply it by 3 and you will see that it will be more than 400 billion deficit, which is 40-50% of our budget. It is impossible today, the economy cannot afford,” – said Groisman.
In the framework of the pension reform the retirement age will not be raised. The Prime Minister says that the pension payment will depend on experience.
According to Groisman, the government’s proposed pension reform will allow for 7-10 years to eliminate the deficit of the Pension Fund.
“This reform gives us the opportunity to forge a deficit-free budget of the Pension Fund. Within 7-10 years we will reach a zero deficit of the Pension Fund,” – said the Prime Minister.
Also Groysman promised before the end of the year to submit to Parliament a bill that would make January 1, 2018, to raise pensions to military pensioners.
