Google has announced that the smart Commuter Trucker jacket will be available at a price of $ 350.
The jacket resembles denim, but is made of special conductive threads that can recognize the touch and swipe user.
Communication with the smartphone through a Bluetooth transmitter built into the cuff. It is to be recharged regularly — about once in two days, charging is a normal microUSB port.
After pairing with a smartphone by swiping your fingers on the cuff you can adjust the music volume, answer or reject a phone call, tell the time, and so on. In other words, the jacket performs most functions of a modern “smart hours”.
According to developers, the fabric of the jacket does not require special care, not afraid of mechanical damage and moisture, and before washing the owner will only need to disconnect the control module from the sleeve.
The connection of clothing and gadget is designed primarily for cyclists. Beginning of production of the jackets is scheduled for autumn 2017.
