Many Scandinavian style is associated with the cold and boredom. However, designers argue the opposite and create an incredibly cosy and stylish apartment. These examples demonstrate how good the interior design of Northern European countries.

Simplicity, minimalism and functionality — these are the three pillars on which rests the aesthetics of the Scandinavian style, which originated in the 50-ies of XX century in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. But despite the fact that the Scandinavians give priority to practicality, they don’t forget about beauty and comfort.

1. Bright Studio with bright accents

Natural lines, smooth transitions from one space to another, natural materials, sunlight — from these simple components, designers and architects to create comfortable apartments.

2. Light gray Studio with geometric shapes

The highlight of the interior is the geometry: lamps, lamp, clock and table legs look very original. And the kitchen looks amazing tiles with ornament in gray-brown tones.

3. Warm apartment with yellow accents

Because of the relatively long winters and a small amount of Sunny days of the Scandinavian designers began to create open, airy and practical space. To provide psychological comfort, they try to create at home warm climate and welcoming atmosphere with all the necessary things at hand.

4. Cozy apartment with use of Zoological motifs

This bedroom is reminiscent of a house, which is home to a little bird. Colored cabinets and accessories make the room bright and comfortable. In the kitchen the main accents are the image of the Zebra on the wall and unusual lamps in the form of three-dimensional triangles.

In the Scandinavian countries, where industrialization of a little too late, a huge impact had the artisan tradition. Therefore, a special place was occupied by organic design using wood as the main material. Here the tree is combined with colorful rugs, pillows and paintings.
