She is not going back to work in NBU.
The head of National Bank Valeria Gontareva will remain on leave until dismissed by the Verkhovna Rada.
“According to the law “On the National Bank of Ukraine” the head of the Central Bank dismissed the Verkhovna Rada on representation of the President. In this regard, V. Gontareva is on leave without pay until the relevant decision of the President and Parliament of Ukraine”, – said the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” the press service of the national Bank.
The head of the NBU does not intend to return to work in the Central Bank.
We will remind, on may 11, acting head of the National Bank appointed first Deputy Gontareva Yakov Smoliy.
Gontareva, who resigned, all the while is on vacation. From 11 may to 7 August inclusive Gontareva was on paid leave, using annual leave balances that have accumulated in 2014, and from 8 August to 26 September – in holiday at own expense and personal time. This includes 15 calendar days of leave without pay, and 20 days of vacation accumulated during his stay as the head of the NBU, for work on a day off during a business trip.
