A few days ago we reported that on Russian television the new season of “twin Peaks” can be censored. At least, this requires Nikolay Gerasimenko, academician of the RAMS and a member of the Committee on health protection State Duma of the Russian Federation. The law, unfortunately, is on his side.
And the reason for all this was Smoking, because in the older seasons the characters often were seen with a cigarette in his mouth. And does Smoking and teenagers, and this, incidentally, is harmful and actually promotes, m’kay? In short, it is proposed either to Hackney cigarettes in the hands of the heroes, a cut scene with Smoking in cases when this does not affect the artistic meaning of the work. To admit I doubt that from the works of David Lynch, you have something to cut or wipe, so that it does not affect the whole plan.
Meanwhile, the channel TV-3, which will broadcast the series in the territory of Russia, from official comments while abstain.
However, fans of “twin Peaks” resent. They actively write letters of administration of the channel, and now even created a petition.
