As expected, the fifth day of competition at Jiro returned the sprinters to the fore. On the flat part of the team holding masters speed finish, easily absorbed, the separation of two people, but was unable to avoid the chaotic denouement of the stage.
A few minutes before the junction stage in the curious situation were the rider “Bahrain Merida” Luca Pibernik who tried to escape from the main group and crossed the finish line first. Pibernik triumphantly threw up his hands, forgetting that until the end of the stage is another round.
The dominance of the “Quick-Step Floors” the Giro-2017 extended Colombian Sprinter Fernando Gaviria, who got lucky that an experienced Andre Greipel was in traffic and could not participate in the battle for the stage.

Tomorrow the Giro returns to the mainland Italy. Participants of the race waiting for a hilly stage with the sprint showdown, which can prevent not categorically lift for 8 km to go and a difficult area two kilometers to the roundabout stage.
