The representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian sub-group TKG Irina Gerashchenko has officially confirmed that December 27 will be an exchange of hostages by the formula “306 at 74”. She wrote about this on his page in Facebook.
“Officially. The Ukrainian side was ready for release a few days ago, the SBU, the GPU, the Minsk group has done everything for this. As I was informed, including the Ukrainian Parliament – we were at the start, at the finish line. It is important that finally removed all the problematic issues that have delayed the process of liberation. 27 December will be the release of 74 Ukrainians, we in the scope of the exemption will give 306 where it enables the Ukrainian legislation”, – wrote Gerashchenko.
She noted that just talked about the exchange of prisoners with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko – he noted that the Ukrainian side is ready for release and did everything to unblock the process of liberation.
“The President also instructed to work on, to release all who are still in prisons in the occupied territories and in the Russian Federation”, – said Gerashchenko.
Earlier today she also mentioned the hostages, which were not included in the lists on the exchange: “And the key, every second I remember those now, these days, will not let go of ORDO. We have plans and proposals how to release all. And how to do it as quickly as possible. I will give only 74, we had to unlock the process of liberation. But must release all”.
We remind that on 15 November the President of Russia Vladimir Putin promised to discuss the question of exchange of prisoners in the Donbas with the leaders of the militants ORDO. A related question addressed to him by the leader of “Ukrainian choice” Victor Medvedchuk during a visit by Putin to the new Jerusalem monastery. The same day he held talks with militant leaders ORDO. According to their results in the Kremlin stated that they support the holding of a prisoner exchange.
As reported, in early December, Irina Gerashchenko said that a large-scale exchange of prisoners should take place before the new year, Ukraine is waiting for the return of 74 of the citizens. She noted that the exchange of hostages with IDLO need more verification lists. Recently, she added that the militants, before exchange of prisoners made in the lists, the process breaks down.
Today it became known that Patriarch Kirill met with the leaders of the militants “LDNR” and the leader of the party “Ukrainian choice” Victor Medvedchuk, where the parties have agreed on all the details of the exchange of prisoners. Following the meeting, the date December 27, called the leader of the so-called “DNR” Alexander Zakharchenko.
