Infiniti QX50 second generation of the first SUV of the brand tried a new design. Yet assess it only from outside: images salon shared yet. The manufacturer calls the crossover is the most important car that Infiniti has ever deduced on the market.
The machine is built on a completely new platform. The engine is located transversely, combined with a CVT, and the buyer will offer front— and all-wheel drive modification. The outgoing QX50 motor is longitudinally, works in tandem with a gun, and “truck” — rear-wheel drive.
The engine itself is revolutionary: it’s the world’s first production engine with supercharging and variable compression ratio (in the range from 8:1 to 14:1). Regarding six-cylinder motor of similar capacity, the newcomer is more economical to 30-35%. From a standstill to 96 km/h Infiniti QX50 accelerates in 6.7 seconds in monprivato and performance in 6.3 seconds, with the all-wheel drive.
In length the car has 4693 mm, width — 1903, wheelbase of 2800 millimeters. In the road clearance of the new QX50 and is not close to the first generation: 218 mm vs 165. Now the car you can safely leave the asphalt. Luggage capacity in five-seat configuration is 895 litres and with the rear seats folded is increased to 1699 liters.
The Infiniti QX50 also has a system of semi-Autonomous driving ProPilot, which helps the driver both in the city and on the highway. In the Russian market crossover will be released next year.
