Chinese engineers prepare the unmanned system GPilot which is able to debut on production vehicles in 2024.
About it in interview to the correspondent Autonews said the President of the Chinese Academy of brand Cuihua (An Cong Hui).
In his words, currently work on this technology has already begun. The first tests of the test samples will start soon. Thus the main objective in the development of unmanned systems is the issue of security.
“In the future, new energy sources and Autonomous technologies are the main directions of development of the automotive industry. In the development of such products, the company Geely has made large investments,” — said a top Manager.
The exact timing of this project is still unknown. According to preliminary data, the system can obtain the name and GPilot to debut on production vehicles in 2024. In the first stage of the test samples of the car will feature aluminum construction, on which is fixed a special device resembling optical rangefinders Lidar.
