Russian Gazprom increased gas transit through the Ukrainian gas transportation system to a record level in five years. This was reported by the press service of the GTS operator Ukrtransgaz company.
In the first five months of this year the volume of transit of Russian natural gas increased by 22 percent compared to the same period last year and 64 percent compared to 2015.

The transportation of gas from Russia by other routes over the same period remained at a stable level.
