“Gazprom” has rejected the possibility of changing the gas prices.
The Stockholm arbitration court in its interim decision held that the Polish gas company PGNiG has the right to demand from the Russian Gazprom reduce gas prices under long-term Yamal contract, according to which the Russian company supplies gas to Poland, said the press service of the Polish company.
“The court took into consideration the key arguments PGNiG and rejected the formal objection of “Gazprom” to support existing non-market price conditions in the framework of the Yamal contract”, – said the head of PGNiG Piotr Wozniak.
It is noted that for many years “Gazprom” has rejected the possibility of changing the gas price for Poland. Accordingly, the contract price is much higher than prices in European markets.
Court of appeals district of Svea (Sweden) June 13, granted the request of “Gazprom” and suspended the execution of the decision of the Stockholm arbitration, dated 28 February 2018 in a dispute between “Gazprom” and “Naftogaz” on gas transit through the territory of Ukraine.
