The agreement shall cease to have effect from 1 July.
Russian Gazprom terminates the agreement with the Ukrainian Gaztranzit on the transportation of fuel. This is reported by Lead Economy.
The agreement was signed in September 2002. Now, however, all rights and obligations thereunder of the parties decided to discontinue from 1 July.
Ukrainian Gaztranzit serves the main branch of the Ananiev-Tiraspol-Izmail, which is used to deliver the fuel to the Balkans and to Turkey. The capacity of this pipeline – more than 21 billion cubic meters per year.
In Gaztranzit Russian company owns more than 40%, and this share at the end of may arrested. In Gazprom have declared, that will not leave the issue without attention.
