The American billionaire, founder of Microsoft, bill gates made the largest donation to charity in 2000.

As stated in the documents of the Commission on securities and exchange, the United States, he gave 64 million shares of Microsoft Corp. for a total of $4.6 billion. Who got the shares, is not known.
