The rise in price of gas for industry will lead to higher food prices.
The rise in price of gas for industry, which will be held from October 1 of the current year in Ukraine will lead to higher inflation and consequently increase growth in the cost of products.
This was reported by the economist Alexander Okhrimenko.
“The rise in price of gas for industry, which will take place from 1 October this year, will lead to growth of inflation and as a result increase the increase in the cost of food and industrial goods”,- said Alexander Okhrimenko.
The expert said that if the 3% rise in price of gas for industry, on average, the same figure more expensive food.
We will remind, “Naftogaz of Ukraine” from October 1, 2017, will increase the price of gas supplied to industrial consumers on a prepayment basis, by 3.1% (of 243.6 UAH) to 8 164,8 thousand UAH for 1 thousand cubic meters (including VAT). To date, the cost of natural gas for household consumers is regulated by the state. So, according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 187 of 22.03.2017 year from April 1, the population approved the new price of natural gas.
