“Games of the unconquered” Ukraine won two medals

In the asset our team has three medals.

Two Ukrainian participants of the “Games unsubdued” (Invictus Games) brought the medals to their team. Oleg Winter won gold in the women’s 1,500 meters, and Oleksandr Tkachenko silver in the women’s 400 meters.

This was reported on Facebook page of the President of Petro Poroshenko,

“I congratulate Oleg Zimnikova with amazing win in the women’s 1,500 meters. Keep it up!” – wrote the President.

He also congratulated police Alexander Tkachenko, who came second in the race for 400 meters.

“That’s right! We have silver! And we are unstoppable! Alexander Tkachenko, 29 years old, Chernihiv, national police of Ukraine, have “silver” on a distance of 400 m. by His example, Alexander proves that the injury is not a reason to abandon the sport. Moreover is the opportunity to begin to engage in them”, – stated in the message.

This is the third medal in a moneybox of Ukraine. We will remind that on III “Games undefeated” in Toronto, the 29-year-old officer of Ukraine Sergey Torchinsky from Lutsk Ukraine has brought the first medal. In the athletics competitions of the Ukrainian third sector for shot put (13,71 m) took bronze.

“Games of the unconquered” – the analogue of the Paralympic games for soldiers who have been wounded or illness as a result of performing duties.
