Capital funicular will be closed for renovation
For the first time in almost 34 years old Kiev funicular will be closed for major renovations. While previously, the lift will not operate from August to December 2018.
The exact date of the closure of the funicular is not yet defined, because, as stressed in the Department, now only develop the project and technical documentation for reconstruction, a after the tender will be held.
“The last renovation of the cable car were in 1984. Since there was only regulated repairs. In 2018, the funicular will not work within six months. Roughly, from August to December,” said I. o. the Director of the enterprise Sergey Litvinov.
How it transformed the funicular, the office does not comment, citing the fact that only projects are ongoing. But I assure you that transport will meet all the necessary European standards.
