From Ukrposhta looking forward to working with PayPal

Omeljan expects that the postal service will soon be able to carry out foreign exchange transactions and work with international payment systems.

The Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan expects that the postal service will soon be able to carry out foreign exchange transactions and begin to work with international payment systems, including such as PayPal.

About this he wrote on his page on Facebook, summing up the year.

Thus the Minister has responded to the news that the national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has extended the availability of Ukrposhta for the provision of financial services.

“Now before “Ukrposhta” the goal is to obtain a license and have (in Ukraine – ed.), modern payment systems such as PayPal. Thus, financial services, including modern, will be available to more people,” – wrote Omelian.

In response, the head of the acting Director General of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky wrote that the decision of the national Bank – the first step to global issues of development of financial services companies and “an example of how you can work with regulator (NBU), even with radically different points of view on other issues.”
