Flights start may 28
The Department of tourism, culture, sports, broadcasting the city of Sanya and the tour operator Kompas reported that the first direct flight Kiev – Sanya will be held on may 28.
Flight program on the Chinese island will be implemented in partnership with Ukraine International Airlines.
So far, the flight will be operated once a week on Tuesdays. In October, the operator plans to increase the frequency of flights to two per week. This will allow Ukrainian tourists holiday in Hainan not only 7 or 14 days, and choose a different comfortable for the duration of the tour.
“Never before Hainan was not so close to the Ukrainian tourist. Because so far, the Ukrainians traveled to the island flights with refuelling in Almaty. More than a year of preparations for the launch of direct flights. Now all arrangements have been made. The market received offers packaged tours for direct non-stop flight MAU. The flights will be operated by Boeing 767 (254 seats). It is expected that travel time will be around 11 hours. During the flight, passengers will be offered two times hot meals”, – says Elena Stankevich, head of marketing at Kompas Ukraine.
“Hainan is called the Chinese Hawaii, because the island is located at the same latitude as the island of the same name, has a mild tropical climate, excellent conditions for beach recreation and medical tourism. In addition, Hainan is the second in the world in environmental cleanliness. This was confirmed by the lack of factories polluting the environment, kilometer-long white beaches, unique flora and fauna. Tourist infrastructure major resorts boasts of hotels from 3*to 5* and premium hotels of the world-known networks. Ukraine is in the list of 58 countries that can take advantage of executing a so-called “group visa”. This means that the Ukrainian tourists can absolutely free to travel to Hainan no additional cost for visas,” – said Anna shapkarina, Director of the Department of international tourism of the host company Sanya Eden International Travel Company.
It is also worth noting the enormous efforts of the Chinese government on the development of this tourist destination. For example, the main beauty contest “Miss world” for the eighth time took place in Sanya. Every year there are sports competitions, festivals of electronic music with the participation of world famous DJs. In Hainan offers many Wellness centers, practitioners of Chinese traditional medicine.
Every year the interest of tourists to relax on this exotic island is growing, and with the launch of direct flight Kiev-Sanya-Kiev and the number of Ukrainian tourists will increase significantly.
