At the Cannes film festival occasionally pop up a number of interesting projects in the horror genre. One such horror brothers Luciano and Nicolas Onetti “What the water left behind” (“What the Waters Left Behind”), the creation of which was obviously inspired by such films as “Texas chainsaw massacre” and “the hills have eyes”.
A group of young guys goes to the ruins of the Argentinian village of Villa Epecuen, to remove about it a documentary. Ignoring warnings, they explore an abandoned village, but soon realize they are not alone in this godforsaken place…
The most interesting in the film, Onetti is a shooting location. Villa Epecuen is a completely real place, completely submerged in 1985 after a dam. Now the water level is declining, revealing the ruins of the city, to which refers the name of horror.
