The French leadership is ready for all necessary measures in case of intervention of other countries in the course of the presidential elections. This statement was made by Minister of foreign Affairs of France Jean-Marc Ayrault.
“We will not allow any interference in our elections as from Russia and from other countries,” he said.
The Minister also said that France will set certain limits, “including appropriate measures when necessary, because no foreign country can influence the choice of French and no foreign state may not choose the next President of France.”
Note that his statements were made amid reports of U.S. intelligence about Moscow’s intervention in the electoral process, as well as complaints of one of the leaders of the presidential campaign, Emmanuel Macron, on cyber attacks from the Russian side.
