Frameless smartphones will capture 40% market share

New standard smartphone screen 18:9 came to taste of millions of people around the world, and all it is clear that in the new year such devices will be much more. Experts from the company Sigmaintell estimate as to greatly increase their market share, and forecasts are very impressive.

Analysts believe that 100% of all smartphones sold in 2018, 40% will get a new wide angle screens 18:9 and 18,5:9, as the new mobile phones Samsung. This is almost half of the total market, which indicates a very high demand for this kind of device. Everything is explained very simply: on the extended screens are easier to view content, plus these smartphones easier to hold in your hand. Samsung, by the way, decided to bet on the 18:9 and increase to 60% the proportion of production of such panels, leaving 40% of the regular screens 16:9, which for many years everybody has got used to.

Interest in smartphones shows not only the public but the producers themselves, gradually changing lineup. For example, Apple intends next year to produce three edge-to-edge IPhone with a different screen, and Xiaomi will transfer all of its key models to the format 18:9. With Samsung and LG too, everything is clear – these vendors on the old standard will not return, and the third tier is gradually improving.
