As it was easy to guess fans of Agatha Christie from a fat hint at the end of “Murder on the Orient Express” Kenneth Branagh, in a potential sequel we will focus on the stories told in the novel “death on the Nile”. Now Fox, head of the film, has officially confirmed its intentions – Hercule Poirot will return to the big screen.
What says “death on the Nile”? Refer to the synopsis of the first film adaptation in 1978 with Peter Ustinov in the title role:
The heiress to a multimillion-dollar state Lynette married the fiance of her best friend Jacqueline. The couple went to a luxury cruise on Board the “Karnak” on the Nile. And Jacqueline decided to spoil the mood of the newlyweds with their presence.
On Board the ship were many other enemies Lynette. She managed to “recruit” bodyguards of the famous detective Hercule Poirot, making a cruise on the same ship. And Lynette was found dead.
As a result of numerous lengthy interviews and searches Poirot began to assume that close. Also found an instrument of crime. But began a new murder…
The story is portrayed in the framework of the popular television series “Agatha Christie’s Poirot” with David Suchet (9 season 3 series). And let the contracts aren’t signed, but it is expected that the Director’s chair once again is bran, and he will return in the role of eccentric detective.
