Astrophysics from the USA, India and the UK found young analogues of the milky Way. A study published in the journal Science, briefly about it, reports the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Galaxy ALMA J081740.86+135138.2 and ALMA J120110.26+211756.2 located at a distance of 12 billion light-years from Earth. Scientists have found out how they were arranged, these galaxy after 300 million years after the Big Bang.
ALMA J081740.86+135138.2 and ALMA J120110.26+211756.2 surrounded by a massive hydrogen clouds. Disks of galaxies rotate, that indicates that they are the forerunners of the giant spiral systems, which include the milky Way.
The rate of star formation in the ALMA J081740.86+135138.2 and ALMA J120110.26+211756.2 was moderate — between 25 and 100 solar masses per year.
To investigate the properties of the galaxies, scientists were able with the help of a complex of radio telescopes ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter Array) located in Chile. Experts expect to discover over the next few years, new young analogues of the milky Way. This should help to understand the origin of the Galaxy.
