Japanese researchers have found a suitable site with photos taken by the spacecraft.
A team of researchers from Japan and the United States managed to find an optimal location for the construction of the first colony on the moon. These data were published in an American scientific journals.
To find a suitable site managed with the space probe Kaguya, launched by the Japanese. The satellite made many photos of the moon about 8 years ago.
After careful study the researchers noticed the crater which is perfect for building inside a small lunar base. The crater is located on the visible side of the earth satellite, and its diameter is fifty meters.
It not only can protect the building from exposure to cosmic radiation, but also will provide the first colonists large reserves of ice.
