Astrophysics from the USA, Chile, France and Japan opened a candidate recoiling supermassive black hole. A study accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal, available on the website arXiv.org briefly about it, reports NASA.
Object CXO J101527.2+625911 160 million times heavier than the Sun and located at a distance of 3.9 billion light years from Earth. The object is distinguished from the majority of supermassive black holes located not in the center of the elliptical galaxy, and is gradually removed from him.
Astrophysicists believe that CXO J101527.2+625911 originated in the merger of two smaller black holes and gained momentum from the center of the galaxy. The velocity of the object is different from the velocity of the galaxy.
Presented the NASA x-ray image in the center of the galaxy is noticeably bright light (there is an intense star formation), far from it — even more striking CXO J101527.2+625911. Scientists believe that a less bright light may be associated with a second supermassive black hole.
CXO J101527.2+625911 were analysed using x-ray space telescope Chandra, and in the optical range, ground-based observatories.
A black hole is an object that can not leave (in classical physics) trapped in his body. Supermassive black hole, unlike the others, at least a hundred thousand times heavier than the Sun. As a rule, most active centers of large galaxies are objects. They, according to scientists, have a decisive influence on the evolution of large stellar systems. In particular, the centers of the milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy located supermassive black holes, which researchers estimate that approximately four billion years will merge into one.
