In the middle of the season Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton start from scratch to fight for the title.
Before the British Grand Prix Vettel was ahead of Hamilton by 20 points, but after the race at Silverstone, the leader of “Ferrari” almost lost their advantage over the Vice-champion of the world.
Hamilton on the home stage sealed a fourth win of the season and regained his status of the favourite of the championship. The Briton just one point behind Vettel, which in the UK because of problems with the tires for the first time in the season finished below fourth place.
The co-pilot of the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas in the last four races played Vettel 31 points. Finn joined in the title race, behind his teammate by only 18 points.
