Hypercar under the control of the ex-pilot of Formula 1 Juan Pablo Montoya was able to accelerate to 400 km/h.
Company Bugatti has published in its official Youtube channel a video, which shows the world record for acceleration from a standstill to 400 km/h and a further full stop, mounted Chiron hypercar. In this procedure the coupe is gone all of 41.96 seconds.
Hypercam ruled the ex-Formula 1 driver and current driver of the American series Indycar Juan Pablo Montoya. The Colombian pilot had a race without a helmet and overalls. The car was driven up to 400 km/h in 32.6 seconds, and the braking took just 9.3 seconds. In total for overclocking and full stop needed 3112 meters.
Bugatti Chiron, submitted in early 2016, is equipped with a petrol unit W16 with four turbines with a capacity of 1,500 horsepower. The coupe can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and its maximum speed “for security purposes” is limited at around 420 km per hour.
In order to remove the limiter requires a special key. Earlier, official data about the maximum speed was kept secret, but the new video shows that the speedometer needle can reach 450 km per hour.
