Mystical cosmowarrior Event Horizon, known to Russian audience under the title “event Horizon” or “Through the horizon”, was filmed in 1997, but still must be the best movie Paul W. S. Anderson.
Of course, first and foremost, this Director known inadaptation games “Mortal Kombat” and “Resident evil”, and also failed crossover “Alien vs Predator”, but while Paul continues for the big money to shoot your wife in BDSM outfits, we horror fans remember his old epic win and just one of the best films about space horror ever.
However, the worst thing about this horror is that when the output of the “Through the horizon” on the screens above him cruelly mocked Association MPAA, forcing him to cut out all the violent and bloody, and that was very, very much. The tape still turned out good but could be even better. Not that sea of blood (and it is there, literally) is a measure of validity, but we did see some frames that are not included in the rolling version of the painting. It’s really brutal and at the same time delight to the eyes.
No wonder all these years the fans have been waiting for the uncut version of “Through the horizon”. Unfortunately, it seems that these hopes will not come true.

There was much more than was shown in the film. But you will never see the corrected version because we removed the”Through the horizon” before the revolution DVD. You know, DVD has opened a new era, when the opportunity to use extra footage, deleted scenes and the like. When we produced only the VHS tape and laserdisc, this was not all. Thus, the material simply was not archived as it should. And only after the film became a cult classic, Paramount asked us to go back and do different versions, and we were looking for material, but it simply does not exist.
All this is strange. The individual frames there, and the material no. It is strange and sad.
Well, hope dies last. In terrible torture. We stubbornly hopefully, let the weak and the caution that one day on some shelf in the Assembly or have someone in the closet found the right film in good condition, and… we’ll see this fierce and beautiful space hell, which originally was supposed to be a movie “Through the horizon”.
