Food basket of Ukrainians rose

In the last few weeks, some categories of goods have increased in price by 1-2 UAH, said the Deputy Minister.

The standard food basket of Ukrainians, consisting of buckwheat, sugar, sunflower oil, salt, chicken, tomatoes, milk, apples, noodles and bread since the beginning of the year rose 12.6%. About this on his official page in social network Facebook said the first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Maxim Martyniuk.

According to him, since the beginning of the year, the most expensive meat products and bakery products.

“Yesterday I paid 226 hryvnias with kopecks for 11 basic food… From the beginning of January the cost of a standard food basket rose by 12.6%. With the beginning of the year, the most expensive meat products (more than 20%) and bakery products (by 10.4% for bread and by 6.2% – in General for bakery products)”, – he wrote.

Among the main reasons for the rise in price of products Martynyuk called the pressure exerted on the internal market, world prices, increasing the cost of production due to the increase of expenses on payment housing-utilities, transportation, salaries.

He also noted that in the last few weeks, some categories of goods have increased in price by 1-2 UAH. First and foremost, products of animal origin. At the same time, prices for most goods of plant origin “do not cause anxiety”.
