Flu attack: in Kiev ill thousands of people

In the Ukrainian capital already sick almost 17 thousand people.

In Kiev, the incidence of influenza and SARS among adults increased by 21.1%, and among children – 15.4%. The intensity of the epidemic process is typical of this time level, the press service of the KSCA.

So, for the 43rd week in Kiev was 16 997 patients with influenza and SARS, when compared with the previous week, an increase of 17%. The prevalence rate was 580,9 and below the epidemic threshold of 17.7%.

The incidence of children accounted for 72.3 percent the previous week, the figure was 73.6%. Among the students was the increased incidence of 15.7%, 4309 cases, accounting for 35.1% of the total number of affected children (for the 42nd week 6633 – 35%) and 25.4% (for the 42nd week of 25.8%) of the total number of people who applied for medical assistance. For the week, hospitalized 140 people, including 119 children.

It is also noted that this week against influenza were vaccinated 524 persons, from the beginning of the epidemic season is 1,240, of whom 364 children.

Recall, according to the Ministry of health, during the epidemic season of influenza and acute respiratory infections 2017-2018 in Ukraine is expected three strains of flu – “Hong Kong”, “Brisbane” and the new Ukrainians Michigan.
