A relatively large asteroid will fly past Earth on April 19 at a distance of 1.8 million kilometers from the planet.
As noted on the NASA website, there is no danger of collision with a celestial body, but this distance is sufficiently close for an asteroid of this size. Asteroid 2014 JO25 was opened in may 2014, its length is 650 meters. As the researchers note, beginning on 19 April, the asteroid can be seen in the night sky. It will be bright enough to be seen in a small telescope.
Closer to Earth on April 19 will be the closest flyby of an asteroid near the planet over the last 400 years and will not be repeated in the next 500 years.
