Yandex started indexing documents Google docs.
In search results of Yandex appeared files the users of the service Google Docs.
Yandex has indexed documents, which were not protected by privacy settings.
The greatest danger for user made files from and written to logins and passwords unprotected. To obtain such a reference was sufficient to enter the word “password” in the search box of Yandex with advanced search options. Also available to the casual observer appeared to be, and many other important data.
Approximately the same scheme operates well-known method, called dorks, which is used to locate files, usually do not fall in the results.
A few hours after the scandal erupted, Yandex removed from the search user documents Google Docs.
The press service of Yandex, stated: “Yandex indexes only an open part of the Internet — those pages which are available when you click on the links without entering a username and password. Page, the indexing of which is prohibited by the site administrator in the file robots.txt Yandex does not index, even if they are in the open part of the Internet.”
The security service of Yandex contacted Google about solving problems. Users are advised to password-protect all documents that lay in store: thus search engines can index.
